Mi Grupo
I just finished my working weekend, which was really really long, but it went by really quickly and even though I'm exhausted I had a lot of fun. This weekend Wendy, the año familiar who I work with, finished her year of service in Casa Suyapa. Me, Wendy and tia Isabel share a group of kids. We eat at the same table in the comedor and then sometimes we do activities with our group in the afternoon. Since Wendy was leaving on Thursday me and Isabel decided to do a small going away party with our group. We got to leave Casa Suyapa and we brought our 9 kids over to Casa Personal (where the volunteers live). We just sat around listening to my iPod with chips, cake and soda. Also, I helped all of the kids write cards thanking Wendy for her time with them. It was a surprise for Wendy and it was a nice chance for us all to get away from Casa Suyapa. Here are some pictures of my kids.
Here is my whole group, minuse me because I took the photo.
Here are (from left to right) Ruth Belinda, Angel and Ruth Noemi. The two Ruths. I love them both, but I have a special relationship with Ruth Belinda, the one on the left. She is really sweet and funny.

What does ano (how do you put that mark on top of the n?) familiar mean? Familiar year?
I mean familar
año familiar is the year of service that the kids have to do before high school and then they have to do two years of service before university. but they only have to do them if they want the ranch to pay for their schooling.
